A route for visiting Owada which was already famous in the Kamakura Period for the Owada Hikawajinja Shrine that holds a millennium of history and the sanctum of the Fukomyo-ji Temple that carries on the legend of Minamoto no Yoriie and houses one thousand Jizo statues.
Passing the Kamakura street that runs through the sides of Owada Hikawajinja Shrine and Fukomyo-ji Temple and crossing the Yanase River, the route goes toward the monument of Fujiko in the Nakano area. The route goes along the Kawagoe way toward the Owada posting station area that still has the look of the early modern posting station, visiting stone Buddha statues such as Kurikara Acala enshrined as a water god by the waterfall along the way. Going further along the Kawagoe way toward Nobidome, the route invite you to the sanctum of Bato Kannon, or Hayagriva, with the legend of the famous horse, Onikage.
